Responsibilities:
We are looking for a skilled and experienced corporate lawyer qualified in Indian law to join our legal team. The ideal candidate should have 1-3 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) with a strong background in private equity (PE), mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and corporate advisory.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating term sheets and transaction documents related to private equity investments, mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate actions.
- Legal due diligence for investments, acquisitions, and other corporate matters.
- Providing legal advisory on corporate governance and ensuring compliance with relevant laws.
- Legal research to analyze complex legal issues and provide strategic recommendations to internal teams, helping them make informed decisions and manage risks.
- Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including finance, secretarial, and compliance teams, to address legal issues and reduce risks.
Qualifications and Skills:
- A 5-year integrated law degree from a recognized Indian university.
- Previous experience with a reputable law firm is required.
- 1-3 years PQE in corporate law, focusing on private equity, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate advisory.
- Strong knowledge of Indian corporate laws, regulations, and guidelines.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
